Our story

A house built on the idea of pause.

Noosa, Australia

From family cottage to coastal refuge.

Solara House began as a modest beach cottage loved by one family for three generations. When we opened its doors as a small hotel, we wanted to keep that feeling intact: the creak of timber, the smell of jasmine, the sense that the world outside could wait.

Today, every guest arrives as a stranger and leaves as something closer to family. We keep the rooms few, the gardens a little wild, and the pace deliberately slow.

Designed for the way we actually want to live.

Every material was chosen to age gracefully: raw timber, natural stone, hand-loomed textiles, terracotta pots that catch the afternoon sun. The house breathes. It does not try too hard.

We placed the windows carefully, because the best decoration here is the light.

Our values

What guides us.

Slowness as service

We do not rush a checkout, a breakfast, or a conversation. The best hospitality gives you time back.

Beauty that lasts

We choose quality over trend: linen that softens, timber that silvers, ceramics with weight.

Local by default

Our coffee, produce and bath products come from Noosa and surrounds. The place should taste like itself.

Quiet luxury

No performance, no excess. Just spaces that let you exhale.

“
Solara House does not feel like a hotel. It feels like the home you wish you had grown up in.
